January News

The new year has found us to be very busy, and we are only a few weeks in!  The snow has trapped us indoors a few times so far, but no record-making falls as of yet. Gabe is learning why snow days are so great! :D Students over here often sleep with their pajamas on inside out, I suppose it's thought to encourage snow. Don't know why, but I used to do it as well.... don't ask questions and follow the other sheep, I suppose.

Last weekend we all went bowling. I lost miserably to everyone but Chloe, and even we were close in score. Andy, of course, creamed us all! We just passed Oscar around and he cheered everyone on. This weekend we went to the Cincinnati Art Musuem. The kids liked it and it was definitely a good way to have a free day out. We came home and put our creative minds to work. They painted new pictures for the entry way. They weren't allowed to use a paintbrush. They had to find something  else to use. Chloe chose to use feathers, and Gabe chose to use a beer cozy, which made for quite an interesting painting. I'll post pics and you can lend your own ideas to his creative genius.  Oscar added his footprint to their paintings for a cute, sweet, and yet very masculine addition .


We are supposed to get another snow storm this week. I am hoping it's enough to snow us in for a while, or at least to go sledding.  I can't believe that January is almost over. SPRING IS GETTING CLOSER! I'm so happy and anticipating digging up our current garden and planting a new one! Keep checking the blog for new pictures and videos of the kiddos. I am hoping this will be a way to keep everyone as up to date as possible with all that is going on.  Much love from our crew!
